Description
You really can’t appreciate the color of this wonderful tea canister because of my awful photograph, but it is a great, clear red with black lettering and gold details. It was made in Detroit probably in the late 1800’s by a company called Thomas A. Parker Company. General Stores would keep their loose tea in such containers and customers would scoop out exactly what they wanted. It is 11 1/2 inches high and 13 1/2 inches across. We found it in a fine antique shop in Michigan. We bought several very nice items from this same dealer.
