I just started using a sewing machine that Ron bought me at an auction months ago. I had to stare at it a while and imagine myself sewing. Finally I got up the courage to actually sew something, and pillows seemed like a good place to start. I cut up a rustic, wobbly local handmade quilt and backed the squares with ticking. I love the way they turned out. This one is backed with blue and white stripes. They are 18″x18″ and come with the filling.
We fell in love with this handmade antique Santero figure of the Madonna and Child. She has a sweet face and a beautiful costume of velvet over carved wood. The baby is a cute blonde Jesus with curly hair and blue eyes. He is the early version of that blonde Jesus in all those paintings!
